Employees at The Root Farm in Sauquoit recently reported spotting unusually large footprints in the mud around the property, sparking curiosity and speculation about a possible sasquatch in the area.
Those questions were explored on Saturday, April 25, 2026, when The Root Farm hosted its Search for Sasquatch Hike, a guided outdoor experience centered on one of nature’s most enduring mysteries: Bigfoot. Participants took part in an entertaining hike through the farm’s landscape alongside a self-described Bigfoot enthusiast, who shared stories and fun facts about the legendary creature.
The hike offered a lighthearted way for visitors of all ages to enjoy the outdoors while learning more about the land and the many programs The Root Farm offers to the community. Each participant received a souvenir pin at the end of the hike.
